3. New York needs to find its point guard of the future

We’ve heard this time and time again for years, yet the front office has never gone all in to find someone to run the team, but with so many options both internally and through the draft, free agency, and trades, the Knicks need to confidently find their guy and hand them the keys to the franchise.

Many fans will look at Quickley to fill that void, as he did so admirably as a spark at the end of the season, especially paired with the athleticism this team has, but if not IQ, then who?

Some names out there include Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, upcoming free agent Jalen Brunson, and Collin Sexton among many others, but whoever the Knicks go with, they need to believe that this player can be their guy.

This may come via trade or free agency, but if New York doesn’t want to waste all of the great work it’s done adding talent to this team over the past two years, then this is the summer to strike, because if they don’t, we may all have to sit through another 82 games of Burks at the point guard spot.
