Ah, much better. Out of the 10 players on this list, Brunson is the one who the majority of fans want to see come to New York this summer.

The 25-year-old’s performance in the first round of the playoffs, especially in the games without Luka Doncic, has upped the value of the contract that he could sign if he doesn’t re-sign with Dallas.

If Brunson becomes an unrestricted free agent, he’s expected to receive a deal in the four-year, $80 million range. To be able to offer that amount of money, the Knicks will have to trade away a few players to clear cap space, but it can be done.

He averaged 16.3 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.9 rebounds in the 79 games that he played in for the Mavericks during the regular season. Brunson shot 50.2% from the field and 37.3% from the 3-point line.

In the playoffs, the point guard’s averaging 23.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists while shooting 45.5% from the floor.

If Dallas continues to be unwilling to part ways with Brunson in a sign-and-trade deal, the Mavericks could lose him for nothing. And hopefully, it’d be to New York because he’s the only point guard that the front office should be interested in acquiring during the offseason.
