3 Reasons Why NY Knicks Fans Should Be Happy Without a Trade
The NY Knicks have players returning from injury
Think about this; the Knicks are currently 21-21 and winning games with a large portion of players on injured reserve. In the next couple of weeks for so, the Knicks should have Mitchell Robinson, Derrick Rose, Elfrid Payton, and Immanuel Quickley all healthy and back in the rotation contributing at a high level.
This would all give the Knicks a huge boost on both offense and defense game in and game out. Something I’m also looking forward to a lot is watching more of Mitchell Robinson and Derrick Rose playing together at the same time. Robinson, who is really only defensive-oriented, could really benefit from Rose’s basketball IQ and I really see him being able to find Robinson open down low for some easy looks inside the paint.
I honestly believe that one of the biggest narratives to go under the radar all season for the NY Knicks is the number of injuries they’ve had to endure through the 42 games they’ve played. The only players to never miss a game this season on the team are RJ Barrett and Julius Randle. With everyone coming back soon, how important is it really to trade for another player? It’s easy to consider everyone coming back from injury as new assets with the amount of time they’ve missed.
A large majority of the players on the NY Knicks’ roster have contributed immensely to the success of the team so imagine what it’s going to be like when no one is in street clothes on the bench. Like I mentioned in the previous paragraph, let’s see how the team does with what they have come season’s end before making a trade.
