The New York Knicks will start their first of a back-to-back on their schedule against the Boston Celtics. A look at the odds and injuries for this game, and how fans can watch this game online.
After winning just three games in November, the New York Knicks will open December with an eye on improving from 4-15 record. It starts against the Boston Celtics, marking the third time these teams will play just six weeks in. Madison Square Garden will host this first of a back-to-back for New York which starts with the unusual Sunday matinée.
In Friday’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Knicks, once again, blew a double-digit point lead. They were in control in the first half, but a slip-up in the final 24 minutes was their downfall. This trend is not disappearing anytime soon as coach David Fizdale’s team continues to drift from the rest of the NBA.
Kevin Knox also received the first “DNP-CD” of his career. While his work at both ends of the floor has been troublesome, the case for playing time as the Knicks struggle mightily, along with Allonzo Trier, looms. If losing persists, will Fizdale change his mind and play the second-year forward? If not, what will it take to regain a role?
Either way, this drop-off from Knox’s rookie to sophomore year has been disparaging.
Regarding injuries, the Knicks listed Elfrid Payton as a limited participant in practice, but he will not play against Boston. Marcus Morris is also questionable with cervical spasms.
Boston’s Gordon Hayward remains out with a fractured hand suffered in early November.
