Knicks vs 76ers odds, injuries for a Thanksgiving hangover

The New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers will face off in a post-Thanksgiving Day game. A look at the odds, injuries, and how to watch online.

The Thanksgiving Day festivities have ended, which means New York Knicks basketball is back. On Friday, Nov. 29, they will return home to face the Philadelphia 76ers for the second time this season after a 109-104 loss on the 20th.

In the first matchup, the Knicks actually had the lead after three quarters and played well. Much like other games, however, they collapsed down the stretch, leading to being outscored by 10 points in the fourth quarter. Marcus Morris led the way with 22 points.

Since then, New York has lost three consecutive games to the San Antonio Spurs, Brooklyn Nets, and Toronto Raptors. The Spurs and Raptors final scores were by fewer than 10 points, but the most recent matchup in Toronto was by 28. It was yet another disappointing night, spiraling the Knicks to a 4-14 record as the first quarter of the season nears its end.

On Friday, Coach David Fizdale’s team must continue its rigorous schedule against one of the Eastern Conference’s favorites to make the NBA Finals. It does not simplify, either, with a game against the Boston Celtics on Sunday and the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday. This could be a 4-17 team in 72 hours.

The only notable injury, Elfrid Payton remains out with a strained hamstring unless otherwise said before the game.

As for the Sixers, Josh Richardson missed the second half of Wednesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings with a hamstring injury. His status is unknown.
