On Monday, the New York Knicks will have their annual Media Day. A look at how to watch it online from the team’s practice facility.
After over six months away, the New York Knicks will finally group for the 2019-20 NBA season. The time off featured nine roster additions, conversational non-signings and speculation over what the future held.
Well, everything will come together, as the Knicks meet for training camp in the first week of October, at their practice facility, in Tarrytown, NY.
Before that starts though, the team’s annual Media Day will convene. Some NBA organizations already had their respective Media Day, including a handful of Knicks-related items from the Brooklyn Nets’ event.
Media Day is the chance for the NBA reporters and fans to hear from the 2019-20 Knicks for the first official time. Players will take to the podium to speak on the upcoming season, including their expectations, if any injuries have occurred and on the team makeup. It is a precursor to training camp, which starts on Tuesday, Oct. 1, and continues through the first preseason game against the Washington Wizards on Oct. 7.
Since the Knicks did not have a formal press conference for their new additions, besides the draft picks, it will be a first-time event to see all the signed free agents in the orange and blue, including Julius Randle, Bobby Portis and Marcus Morris; this trio combines for nearly $50 million of the team’s payroll. Returning players like Frank Ntilikina and Mitchell Robinson may also speak.
Details on how to watch New York’s 2019 Media Day are below, including the start time and what platforms will stream it online:
Date: Monday, Sept. 30
Time: 11:00 a.m. ET
Location: Tarrytown, NY
Live stream: Facebook, YouTube
Media Day will provide plenty for Knicks fans to follow and learn about the 2019-20 team. With players set to speak, it should answer some questions and create excitement for the fans as the first action of the season nears.
