If you’re searching for the most polarizing prospect in NBA Draft history, Grayson Allen will likely come across your radar. His game fits the modern era, but his immaturity and dirty tactics on the court have many questioning if he can last in the Association.

Only time will tell what will transpire, but Allen presents the age-old question that franchises will need to answer: How valuable is raw talent?

Allen may not be the most likable prospect on the board, but there’s no denying that he can play. He’s one of the best three-point shooters in the country, with the rare knowledge of how to utilize off-ball screens based on where he’ll be attempting a shot from.

Allen has also improved the consistency with which he shoots off the bounce, which makes him an even more dangerous threat offensively.

What’s helped Allen return to the first-round bubble is that he’s improved dramatically as a distributor. He may not facilitate an offense, but the potential exists for Allen to run point for brief spurts as a sixth man in the NBA.

If Allen defends and interviews well at the Scouting Combine, he could appeal to the New York Knicks. It’s somewhat unlikely, but within the realm of possibility.
