Kyrie Irving is reportedly interested in being traded to the New York Knicks. What trade packages could the Knicks potentially offer to the Cleveland Cavaliers?

Since the beginning of the 2017 NBA offseason, the New York Knicks have provided fans with a steady stream of surprising news. That includes the drafting of Frank Ntilikina, the removal of Phil Jackson as team president, and the Sacramento Kings allowing Scott Perry to become New York’s general manager.

As free agency reaches its descent, one last stunning revelation has been made: One of the most promising young scorers in the NBA wants to play for the Knicks.

Brian Windhorst of ESPN stunned the basketball community with his report that Kyrie Irving has requested a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Shortly thereafter, Irving’s list of preferred destinations was revealed.

According to Chris Haynes of ESPN, one of the four teams that Irving asked to be traded to was the new-look Knicks.

That guarantees nothing, but it’s fair and rational to be excited by the possibility of Irving donning the orange and blue.

Irving doesn’t have a no-trade clause, which means that Cleveland can trade him to whichever team it wants to. Thus, Irving’s interest in joining the Knicks could be viewed as irrelevant if the organization decides against honoring his wishes.

The question is: What type of packages might the New York Knicks be able to offer the Cleveland Cavaliers in order to acquire Kyrie Irving?
