Well it looks like at least two New York Knicks will be on the same page next season.
In a recent pick up game at Terminal 23 in Manhattan, Carmelo Anthony and J.R. Smith teamed up to show off their talents. While it is only a summer pick up game, TMZ is reporting that other NBA stars competed in the game, such as former Knick and current Golden State Warrior David Lee and Charlotte Bobcat Lance Stephenson.
Also involved in the game were J.R.’s little brother, Chris Smith, and former Net Chris Douglas-Roberts. Smith starred with some highlight reel dunks, including an impressive one handed put back, while Melo drained silky smooth jumpers from downtown. It’s always encouraging to see Smith with that extra bounce in his step after coming back too early from his knee surgery last year.
And Melo and J.R.’s team won! Hopefully the real Knicks can get a few more of those this year. At least we know they are staying in shape.
