Raymond Felton calls himself an 'Elite' PG

When former New York Knicks point guard Raymond Felton was dealt to the Dallas Mavericks prior to the 2014 NBA Draft, many Knicks’ fans rejoiced.

Actually I am shocked there wasn’t a celebration in Times Square equal to that on New Year’s Eve, but regardless Knicks fans could at least be happy that they won’t have to watch Felton wear blue and orange any longer.

He’s now the Mavericks problem.

However he said something this week that completely dumbfounded me and I apologize for saving this for today, but I felt that everyone could use a good laugh to start their Friday.

Felton had the nerve to say “I’m still elite.”

Wait a minute. What the hell did he say?

Yeah I thought that is what I heard.

Elite?

My first thought is when in the hell has Felton ever been elite? One solid three month stretch in nine NBA seasons doesn’t qualify you for elite my friend. It means you are the same below average to average point guard you have always been.

Elite?

Point guards who couldn’t start for most NBA teams, yet some major college programs or even D-League teams are not elite and never will be. Felton has turned into an embarrassment both on and off the court and his statements just make him sound idiotic.

Secondly, I suggest the NBA have stricter drug testing because with a comment like that, he has to be on something strong, because that is the only explanation how this fool would call himself elite. Confidence is one thing, but come on, elite?

The only thing that Felton could be elite in is if he entered competitive eating competitions. I could see him doing well there, but an elite point guard? Not in a million years.

The one good thing about listening to this clown is that he is the Mavs problem now.

Dallas got the guy they wanted in Tyson Chandler, but they had to take on Felton’s contract as well.

They will regret it quickly as he will be holding them back all season.
