New York Knicks Rumors: Knicks will reportedly fire Mike Woodson next week

The future of New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson has  been in doubt for most of the season after the Knicks have not only failed to meet expectations but have become the most disappointing team in the entire NBA.

That has begged the question of not if Woodson will be fired but when.

Apparently we have our answer.

According to reports, the Knicks are expected to fire Woodson and several of his assistants next week.

The latest to chime in is Michael Scotto from SheridanHoops.com who reported that multiple league sources have said Woodson is going to get the axe before the All-Star game. That means next week could be Woodson’s last week on the job.

Mike Woodson and several assistant coaches on his staff are expecting to get fired by the All-Star break, multiple league sources tell SheridanHoops.com.

This comes on the heels of reports that Woodson has lost the locker room and that Knicks owner James Dolan recently met with Carmelo Anthony regarding Woodson’s future.

There have also been reports that Herb Williams will be elevated to interim head coach and former Knicks’ player Larry Johnson will be brought on as an assistant.

While the Knicks may not win many games before the All-Star break, the next week will be very interesting as the drama of this ongoing circus is going to be very interesting.
