NBA Trade Rumors: Frustrated Carmelo Anthony say 'Things are out of my Hands'

Coming off another disappointing home loss Wednesday night to the Portland Trail Blazers, you can understand why New York Knicks’ superstar Carmelo Anthony is frustrated.

Despite the fact that Portland gave the Knicks all the chances to win in the fourth quarter by shooting 4-for-17, missing five free throws and turning the ball over seven times, Anthony and the Knicks team simply couldn’t capitalize.

Two nights after dropping 36 points, Anthony had 26 points but failed to score a point in the fourth quarter. The Knicks couldn’t buy a 3-pointer, missing their first 16-of-18 from behind the arc, before knocking in consecutive threes late to pull within 89-87 with 50 seconds remaining.

Judging by the entire season, moves need to be made. Whether it be via trade or the rumored dismissal of head coach Mike Woodson, something has to be done.

Throughout the season Melo has often spoke positive about the team and potential moves, but his tune changed following Wednesday’s loss.

Frustrated as ever, Anthony said any changes made by management, whether a potential trade or Mike Woodson’s status, isn’t his decision.

“At this point, I don’t really know what’s going to happen, if something’s going to happen,” Anthony said. “If something was to happen then it’s out of my hands.”

The interesting part of his statement is that he didn’t defend Woodson or any of his teammates like Melo has done in the past.

Anthony knows that moves need to be made and it almost sounds as if he is throwing in the towel on this current group wearing blue and orange.

We will find out soon if anything gets done as the trade deadline comes on February 20.
