David Lee Tip-In Game-Winner vs. Charlotte Bobcats
This is one of the better ones. If Isiah Thomas was still coaching, I believe this was the 2007-08 season in which the Knicks finished 23-59. There’s so much to like here: Clyde not understanding the alley-oop/tip-in difference because of the Trent Tucker rule, Jamal Crawford’s pinpoint pass to the rim, Gus Johnson’s wail when Lee tips it in, Knicks fans trash talking Michael Jordan after his Bobcats lost, and of course, Lee’s actual balletic tip-in. Great stuff in an otherwise terrible season.
Jamal Crawford Steal and Game-Winner vs. Denver Nuggets
“Holy MACKEREL!” You said it, Gus Johnson. This one is just silly. Crawford is smothered by Carmelo, tosses a bad pass after attempting his shake and bake dribble, hustles over to the ball, steals it back on a pretty athletic play, takes a couple dribbles and just launches a 28-footer, falls down, and swooshes it. I believe this took place in 2007.
