Kobe Bryant is back in practice with the Los Angeles Lakers and even the five-time NBA champion gets a charge out of getting back to work.

According to the Associated Press, Bryant participated in his second full workout with the Lakers at their training complex on Tuesday. He still isn’t sure when he’ll be back in uniform, but he’s grateful to take the next step in his recovery from a torn Achilles tendon.

Grizzlies’ Allen suspended for kick to face

Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen has been suspended one game without pay for kicking Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers in the face. The suspension was announced Tuesday by Rod Thorn, President of Basketball Operations.

The incident, for which Allen was assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 and ejected, occurred with 1:51 remaining in the first quarter of the Grizzlies’ 106-102 win over the Clippers on Monday, Nov. 18, at Staples Center. Allen will serve his suspension on Wednesday, Nov. 20, when the Grizzlies play the Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena.
