2013-14 New York Knicks Tickets: 5 Least Expensive Games

Coming into the season, expectation were high, leading to tickets climbing to an average price of $321 on the secondary market. However, with the Knicks shaky start and a 3-5 record after their 109-106 loss to the Rockets last night, ticket prices along with fan confidence is down.

New York Knicks tickets remain the most expensive in the league, but have already dropped 6%, down to an average of $302 and will continue to drop unless they turn things around quickly.

The good news is this will make things a bit more affordable for the average fan for most games, and especially these five.

1) 11/16/13 vs Atlanta Hawks | Avg Price: $166 | Get-in Price: $50

The game against the Atlanta Hawks is New York’s next home game. The game’s ticket average is 45% below the season average at home for the Knicks. Atlanta is average 103.0 points per game this season, which is ninth best in the league.

2) 12/16/13 vs Washington Wizards | Avg Price: $173 | Get-in Price: $44

The mid-December game against the Washington Wizards is currently 43% below the home season average. The battle between John Wall and Iman Shumpert could be a fun matchup to watch between two young guards. This game also represents the lowest get-in price of the season.

3) 12/1/13 vs New Orleans Pelicans | Avg Price: $198 | Get-in Price: $54

The New Orleans Pelicans represent the only Western Conference team to appear on this list. the December 1 game is the Knicks’ first home game after a four game road including stops in Portland, Los Angeles and Denver. Tickets for this game is 34% below the average for the season.

4) 12/6/13 vs Orlando Magic | Avg Price: $203 | Get-in Price: $49

Two games after the game against the Pelicans, the Knicks host the Orlando Magic. The Magic are expected to finish towards the bottom of the Eastern Conference, but Victor Oladipo could be in the running for Rookie of the Year. Tickets for this game are 33% below the average for games at Madison Square Garden.

5) 12/14/13 vs Atlanta Hawks | Avg Price: $207 | Get-in Price: $49

The Atlanta Hawks start and end New York’s least expensive list. Atlanta’s second visit to MSG has a higher average price, but the get-in is just under the first game. The Knicks swept Atlanta in all three regular season games last year and have already beaten the Hawks on the road this season.

The Knicks will look to improve upon their slow start as the season moves along. Tickets are always in high demand for games at Madison Square Garden, but these games will give fans the opportunity to see the Knicks play for relatively cheap prices.
