New York Knicks: Owner James Dolan makes dancers stop dancing

New York Knicks owner James Dolan has done and said some stupid things over the years but he finally may have hit an all-time low.

Frustrated with the Knicks 2-1 start to the season, Dolan has found the root of the problem- the Knicks dancers. According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News , the owner has ordered the dancers to stop dancing during timeouts.

Dolan has become such a hands-on owner — figuratively speaking — that, according to a source, he doesn’t want the dancers dancing. Crazy, right? The same guy who wanted creative input on the dancers’ outfits (and he’s good at it) apparently ordered that the girls’ roles be reduced to mostly throwing T-shirts into the crowd. They performed maybe one routine on Sunday.

Instead he wants the dancers to throw T-Shirts to the crowd.

Finally a decision that will lead to a championship.

On a serious note, Dolan does the impossible by looking dumber by the day.

This comes from the same guy who not that long ago felt he needed to be hands on in helping design the outfits of the City Dancers.

While I’m not at games to see the dancers perform, it is a part of the entertainment that a lot of the Madison Square Garden crowd has come to enjoy. Considering the price that they pay for tickets, cutting out the entertainment makes no sense as the dancers are the least of Dolan’s problems.

This is just another example of Dolan acting like the idiot he is. Calling his decision crazy to tell dancers not to dance isn’t a strong enough word.

Dolan said shortly before the season that he expected a championship this season.

Now as the Knicks come out of the gate slowly, he is showing his power.

Now that he has axed dancing, who is next? Mike Woodson? Steve Mills? The DJ? Beer vendors?

All I know is that if the Knicks don’t find a way to beat the Charlotte Bobcats tomorrow, no one’s job is safe.
