New York Knicks: J.R. Smith looks like an idiot again

Some guys should not be allowed to talk, even when they mean well.

Those same guys should be kept away from all microphones, Twitter and any other form of communication for the simple fact that they always make a fool of themselves even when they have good intentions in mind.

New York Knicks sixth man J.R. Smith falls into that category.

Smith is no stranger to making himself and his organization look like complete idiots, a feat he accomplished once again trying to honor the victims of 9-11.

Wednesday afternoon Smith took to social media where he had a horribly-worded post to Instagram where he wanted to “Celebrate the deaths of the people in 9/11!”

Smith has come under some criticism for his post and given his off the court behavior it’s probably well deserved, but in this case we think we know what Smith meant and it wasn’t to celebrate anything.

However one thing is clear and that is the fact that Knicks’ head coach Mike Woodson needs to get a leash on Smith and real him in.

Even when Smith likely means well he makes a disaster out of everything.

Who knows what Smith is smoking sometimes, but after receiving a five-game drug suspension from the NBA after reportedly testing positive for marijuana, you would think he would try and keep his mouth shut for just a little bit at least.

But he continues to add to his long list of off the court screw ups.

As long as the Knicks organization allows Smith to continue to act the way he does, there will be no stopping the inevitable.

He will continue to make himself and the organization look like fools.

Even when he means well.
