New York Knicks Rumors: Knicks work out PG Bobby Brown

As the New York Knicks search continues for a third point guard, the usual names such as Sebastian Telfair, Aaron Brooks and Nate Robinson continue to get thrown around.

Apparently you can throw another name into the mix.

According to Yahoo! Sports Adrian Wojnarowski, the Knicks conducted a workout with free-agent guard Bobby Brown in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Brown, 28, had a breakout season in the Euroleague and his name has been attached to several NBA teams so far this summer.

The Knicks have been in search for a third point guard to play behind Raymond Felton and Pablo Prigioni and reportedly would consider using one of the remaining veteran minimum contracts to bring Brown to the Big Apple.

Brown averaged 18.8 points and 5.3 assists the past season for Siena of Italy.

One of his biggest eye opening moments came in the form of a 41 point effort in January in a comeback victory over Fenerbahce of Turkey. Brown’s 41 points was the highest-scoring Euroleague performance in a decade.

He has some NBA experience on his resume, although he played a very limited role, but Brown has played for Sacramento, Minnesota, New Orleans and the Los Angeles Clippers.

However he spent the past two years developing his game in Italy and it may have paid off because he should land an NBA job.

The only question is whether it will be in New York or with someone else.
