New York Knicks vs. Orlando Magic: Preview, TV Schedule, Betting Line and More

After defeating the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night, the New York Knicks caught a three day break before beginning a three game in four day stretch against Orlando, San Antonio and Memphis.

But beginning tonight against the Magic, all three games are on the road, which will be a test for the undefeated Knicks, considering three of their four wins so far have come at Madison Square Garden.

With such a veteran team, there is little chance that Mike Woodson’s team will overlook the Magic with two of the better teams in the NBA on tap next. With that being said, here’s everything you need to know about tonight’s game.

When: Tuesday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m. EST

Where: Amway Center in Orlando, Florida

Watch: MSG, NBA League Pass

Betting Line: New York Knicks (-6.5)

Knicks Key Injuries (Per CBS Sports): Out- Iman Shumpert (knee), Amar’e Stoudemire (knee)

Magic Key Injuries (Per CBS Sports): Out- Al Harrington (knee), Hedo Turkoglu (hand). Questionable- Jameer Nelson (groin)

When the Knicks Have the Ball: Knicks Offense- 104.5 PPG (second in NBA); Magic Defense- 93.5  PPG (10th)

When the Magic Have the Ball: Magic Offense- 87.8 PPG (30th in NBA); Knicks Defense- 87.5PPG (first)

Key Matchup: Carmelo Anthony vs. Magic Power Forwards

Guys like J.J. Redick (14.2 PPG), Arron Afflalo (16.7 PPG), Glen Davis (16.3 PPG) and Nikola Vucevic (11.0 PPG) have got themselves off to decent starts, but they don’t have an answer on the defensive end for ‘Melo (27.3 PPG).

Anthony presents a mismatch for the Knicks with guys like Davis, Josh McRoberts and even possible rookies Andrew Nicholson and Kyle O’Quinn.

Whoever the Magic use on ‘Melo can’t guard him when he faces up and Anthony should have good success extending the Magic defense as well. He should also have success going to work on the block as there really isn’t much the Magic can do to stop him.

If the Knicks stay unselfish and Anthony does what he has done all season, this should be an easy win for the Knicks.

Prediction: Knicks 101, Magic 84
