There is some brotherly love on the New York Knicks as both J.R. and Chris Smith have signed with the team. J.R. is definitely the more popular and skilled of the two brothers, but nonetheless, his sibling Chris has proven that he has a solid basketball player.
Although there was a small chance Chris would have made the Knicks roster, having both brothers on the same team was nice to see. However, that may no longer be the case as Chris will be in the hospital and with doctors after suffering a knee injury. Chris will have left patella tendon surgery and will be forced to miss three-to-sixth months of action.
Chris Smith’s season is over before it started. J.R.’s baby brother to have left patella tendon surgery. Out 3 to 6 months

Once Smith returns from his injury, he will likely be sent down to the D-League with hopes of making the training camp roster next season. Even though it would have been very difficult for Chris Smith to make the Knicks’ roster, it is sad seeing him leave without giving it a fight.
