The New York Knicks are expected to match the Houston Rockets’ offer sheet for Jeremy Lin, bringing the Harvard back to Madison Square Garden. The Rockets and Lin agreed to a four-year, $28.8 million offer sheet, but the Knicks were always ready to match any offer.
Even though the Knicks will bring back Lin, he is upset that the front-office didn’t act faster. Lin wanted the Knicks to present him with a contract first and he is unhappy that didn’t happen, ESPN.com
“He was surprised that the Knicks didn’t make the first move,” a league source told the Daily News. “They know they’ve got to mend some fences with him because he believes what the Rockets have told him, that the Knicks weren’t as interested as they are.”
This is not good news for the Knicks as one of their main players is upset with them. Team chemistry is essential in order to win a championship, and before training camp even started, Lin is not happy with the franchise.
