The New York Knicks have re-signed unrestricted free-agent J.R. Smith. Smith joined the Knicks last season after his tenure in China ended, and he provided the Knicks with instant offense. Although Smith made some questionable decisions while on the court, the Knicks really benefited from the spark he provided off the bench.
Smith opted out of his contract earlier this summer as he was looking to get a larger contract with another team. However, after testing the market, Smith did not get the right offer and decided to come back to New York.
