Knicks Acquire Marcus Camby Via Sign-and-Trade

The New York Knicks and Houston Rockets have agreed on a sign-and-trade that will send Marcus Camby to New York. In exchange for Camby, the Knicks will give the Rockets Toney Douglas, Josh Harrelson, Jerome Jordan and draft picks.

The Rockets will get the Knicks’ second round picks in 2014 and 2015. New York understands that quality big men in the NBA are a rarity and although Camby is coming towards the end of his career, he can be a valuable piece on the roster. Camby will be great reserve center for the Knicks and can provide the team with rebounding and defense.

The former Knick has agreed to a three-year, $13.2 million deal with the franchise.
