Raymond Felton may ring a bell with Knicks fans even though he spent very little time with the team. The Knicks signed him as a free-agent in 2010 and he formed a nice duo with Amar’e Stoudemire. The Knicks played extremely well with Felton and Stoudemire as captains and the pick-and-roll was executed very effectively. However, to the dismay of most Knicks fans, the front-office had to include Felton in the trade that brought Carmelo Anthony to New York.
The Knicks will try to land Steve Nash this off-season, but if they cannot do that, the front-office will make a push for Felton. This is a far more realistic deal as Felton would likely accept a smaller contract, whereas Nash would want something with more cash. Felton was a fan-favorite in New York and having a “Big Three” of Felton, Stoudemire and Anthony would be fun to watch.
In his short time with the Knicks, Felton averaged 17.1 points and 9.0 assists per game.
