Larry Brown Supports Woodson and Knicks

Legendary coach Larry Brown, who now runs the sidelines for Southern Methodist University, is fully supportive of the Knicks’ new coach Mike Woodson.

Brown was once the coach of the Knicks, and although he had a turbulent tenure there, he expects Woodson to do well in New York. “Everybody says I had a bad experience in New York and this and that. But I wanted Woody to go there. He’s in a great position to win,” Brown said by phone.

The Knicks played well under Woodson and Brown sees potential in this coach. New York did lose in the first round of the playoffs, but getting a win under the belt will help this young team in the future.

Brown understands that the Knicks are focused on becoming title contenders again, but he finds that pressure something Woodson can work well with.
