Today in Knicks History- The Dunk

With less than a minute to go and the Knicks clinging to a three-point lead in Game 2 of the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals, Knicks guard John Starks explodes baseline and rises to the rim against Horace Grant and a late-arriving Michael Jordan.

Starks keeps rising and then flushes an emphatic left-handed dunk that sent the Garden crowd into a frenzy.

New York won the game, 96-91 to take a 2-0 series lead, but would wind up losing the next four and the series.

To date this is one of my favorite individual plays in Garden history.
