Georgios Printezis, a 6-foot-9 forward for Olympiacos, a historic basketball team situated in Greece, is making a name for himself. Printezis just recently hit a game-winning floater with .7 seconds left over Andrei Kirilenko to give Olympiacos its first Euroleague championship.
Many of called that floater one of the most iconic shots in European basketball history and could help Printezis make some money in the future.
The Knicks could be a potential stopping-ground for Printezis as they acquired his draft rights in the sign-and-trade deal for Tyson Chandler.
“They have a nice little asset now,’’ one NBA executive said of Printezis [New York Post]. “People now know who he is now.’’
New York will have to battle with other squads trying to snatch him up including Olympiacos, a team that can offer him a lot more money.
