Former Knick Interviewed for Bobcats' Coaching Job

Former New York Knicks player Patrick Ewing is currently an assistant coach with the Orlando Magic and his main objective is to make Dwight Howard an offensive threat.

However, it appears as though Ewing is ready to take the next step and become the head coach of an NBA team. The Charlotte Bobcats recently fired Paul Silas after a 7-59 record and the front-office is looking for a replacement. In fact, reports say the Bobcats will interview Ewing on Thursday on a possible hire, New York Post.

Two people familiar with the situation say the Bobcats will interview Orlando assistant Patrick Ewing on Thursday in Charlotte for their vacant head coaching position.

The Bobcats will also have to make many roster changes and hope they can land the number one in the 2012 NBA Draft. Ewing will help them on the bench but there is a lot of work to do if Charlotte wants to get back to the playoffs.
