Heat Projected Starting Line-Up:
PG: Mario Chalmers
SG: Dwyane Wade
SF: LeBron James
PF: Udonis Haslem
C: Chris Bosh
The New York Knicks head down to Miami tonight to play Game 5 after their inspiration win at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Carmelo Anthony scored 41 points in the Knicks’ win and Amar’e Stoudemire put in 20 points and ten rebounds. The Knicks snapped their 13-game post-season losing streak and they will be looking to avoid elimination again and send this series back to New York.
The Miami Heat will continue to rely on its frontcourt in this game, and LeBron James should come out with vengeance after his team lost Game 4 in New York. James made tremendous plays late in the game and he was the reason why the Heat had a chance to come away with a victory. LeBron did not attempt a shot in the final possession, so he will likely dominate the ball in Game 5. Chris Bosh is another weapon that Heat has and can certainly hurt the Knicks in the paint. Although Stoudemire outplayed Bosh in Game 4, the former Raptor is averaging 14 points and 7.3 rebounds this post-season. There is also Udonis Haslem, but once again the Knicks should focus more on the other stars beating them in this game.
Dwyane Wade took the final shot for the Miami Heat in Game 4, but his three-point attempt at the buzzer was short and the Knicks walked away with the win. Wade is another superstar on this Heat team, but at times he struggles playing alongside James. Wade can surely take over a game, but the Knicks need to make sure only one of the key players has a big game. Mario Chalmers tends to play better at home than the road, so the Knicks must be weary of his timely three-point shooting.
Keys to Victory:
1- Once again play with desperation- The Knicks were facing a sweep in Game 4 at the Garden and the team understood the importance of every possession. Thus the team took care of the basketball and were playing with aggression and fire.
2- Stoudemire needs another big night- Amar’e Stoudemire is the x-factor for the Knicks in this series. He had an amazing Game 4 performance and his presence motivated the rest of the Knicks. He needs to dominate his opponent in this game and if that happens, there is a good chance the Knicks will play a Game 6.
