Tyson Chandler Battling Flu, Needs 'Miracle' to Play

New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler is dealing with the flu and it looks like he will not be able to play in the team’s Game 2 against the Miami Heat.

Chandler was a game-time decision on Saturday and he had one of his worst games of the season. Chandler’s condition did not improve and he missed out on the Knicks’ practice on Sunday.

“I don’t know what he’s going to feel like (Monday), so hopefully a miracle happens overnight and he’s ready to play,” Mike Woodson said [New York Post].

The Knicks cannot afford Chandler to have a Game 1 performance tomorrow night. Chandler finished the match with three rebounds, zero points and seven turnovers.  The Heat destroyed the Knicks and walked off the court with a 100-67 win.

If Chandler does play on Monday, he has to be ready both mentally and physically.
