New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin is trying to make his return sometime during the team’s first round series against the Miami Heat. Lin has not ruled out a return for the Knicks’ Game 4 on Sunday, something the coaching staff is delighted to hear.
With Iman Shumpert out with an ACL tear, the Knicks desperately need Lin to play. Lin admitted that he felt a little sore after his intense workout, but there is a chance he will play the Heat sometime in the 2012 Playoffs.
“Yesterday I felt pretty good, I could do a lot more than I thought I could,’’ Lin said [New York Post]. “It was just two days ago I just started running. It happened really fast. But today I took a step back. We’ll see. When I come back I want to create energy and be aggressive.”
The Knicks still need to be careful and have to make sure Lin is 100 percent. Although he would help this Knicks team in the series, there is no need to risk his future health.
