8:00 PM EST, April 26, 2012
Time Warner Cable Arena, Charlotte, North Carolina

Bobcats Projected Starting Line-Up:

PG: D.J. Augustin
SG: Gerald Henderson
SF: Derrick Brown
PF: Bismack Biyombo
C: Byron Mullens

The New York Knicks will close out their regular season in Charlotte and will play the lowly Bobcats. The Knicks will rest Baron Davis, Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler in this game, but based on the Bobcats’ talent that should not make an impact on the outcome.

The Knicks can clinch the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference while the Bobcats need this one in order to avoid being the worst team in NBA history in terms of overall winning percentage.

The Charlotte Bobcats do not have a lot of talent and this team doesn’t present a lot of problems for the Knicks. They have won one seven games all season long and they struggle on both ends of the court. Mullens is a solid player for the Bobcats and at times can be the team’s leading scorer. He grabs five rebounds per game and can alter shots with his length. Derrick Brown has been a reliable scorer for the Bobcats and is coming off a 16 point performance.  As for Biyombo, the rookie has been improving and looks like a piece for the future.

The Bobcats do have one bright spot in Gerald Henderson and he can make a case as the best player on the team. This season Henderson has averaged 15 points and four rebounds per game. Charlotte also has D.J. Augustin, a capable point guard who can run the offense well.

Keys to Victory:

1. Star power- The New York Knicks are a much better team than the Bobcats and have more depth than them at every position. If New York plays its game, it can surely win this game.

2. Don’t embarrass yourself- The Bobcats have seven wins, make sure they don’t beat you twice in one season.
