Carmelo Anthony, Knicks Face Must-Win in Milwaukee

The New York Knicks will head to Milwaukee tonight to play the Bucks in a game which has serious playoff implications. As of this point, the Knicks are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and hold only a one game lead over the Bucks.

“It’s probably one of the biggest games of the season for us, and we gotta approach it like that,” Carmelo Anthony said [ESPN New York]. “We gotta be ready.”

The make matter worse, the Bucks hold the tie-breaker with the Knicks and a win would put them into the top eight in the Eastern Conference. The Knicks will obviously be without Amar’e Stoudemire and Jeremy Lin for this game, so they need a valiant effort from their other players.

Carmelo Anthony has scored more points as the sole star of the team, and his numbers should not be doubted. The Knicks will be on the road for this one, so the role players need to make sure they do whatever possible to help Anthony and the team win this key game.
