New York Knicks star Jeremy Lin and Volvo Cars of North America have joined forces and are working towards a marketing deal. Lin turned into an international icon in a matter of days and he helped the Knicks in ways outside the basketball court. Lin helped raise the MSG stock to an all-time high, he was partly responsible for the Knicks’ latest sponsors and his jersey sales were out the roof.
Now, the automotive giant Volvo wants a little piece of Linsanity. Volvo’s sales unit based in Rockleigh, N.J., said that Lin would “help establish the brand with younger and performance-minded customers.”
This is Lin’s first major corporate deal and will help establish his presence in the US and the world. However, there is a good chance that Mr. Lin will having more partnerships coming up in the near future.
