League of Extraordinary Bloggers: Fantasy Draft Recap

Last night marked the first inaugural Fansided NBA Blogger fantasy league, cleverly titled “The League of Extraordinary Bloggers”.

The season began with a fantasy draft in which 9 out of 10 owners took place, only Josh Hill of Pippin’ Aint Easy missed out—though he was the beneficiary of some high quality auto drafting.

For a detailed round by round breakdown of how the draft went for our NBA bloggers you can visit Fantasycpr.com where Zach Thompson, league comish’, provided a very nice write up.

As far as my team, Amar’e’s Kneees, is concerned I think I made away with a pretty decent draft. Here is a look at my team, including which round each player was drafted in.

  1. Deron Williams
  2. Carmelo Anthony
  3. Zach Randolph
  4. Gerald Wallace
  5. Andrew Bogut
  6. Stephen Jackson
  7. Wesley Mathews
  8. Kyrie Irving
  9. Chris Kaman
  10. Emeka Oakafor
  11. Ed Davis
  12. Bismack Biyombo
  13. Tony Allen

My team is looking pretty solid; I especially like grabbing Williams—who is in midseason from thanks to some extra circular play in Turkey—Carmelo Anthony—a hometown guy—and Zach Randolph with my first three picks.

My last two picks are a little suspect, and I fully expect to be working that waiver wire for some suitable replacements come the beginning of the season.

Expect weekly updates over the course of the year; hopefully they will be positive ones for me.

As always, if you have any advice, feel free to email me at [email protected] or tweet me @TheScottCamps
