No Homecoming for Melo

According to RealGm the New York Knicks will not be visiting the Denver Nuggests this season, squashing any hopes that Nuggets fans had of getting a chance to express their disdain for the former star of their team. Melo was acquired in a blockbuster trade in February after spending the entirety of his NBA career in Denver.

Anthony was the star in Denver for the better part of eight seasons, making the All-Star team four times, the All NBA second team once and the All NBA third team three times. During Anothony’s stint in Denver the Nuggets made the playoffs every season including a run to the Western Conference Finals in the 2008-2009 NBA season.

Whether or not Anthony was going to get a chance to play in Denver this season had been a question mark for many after the season was officially salvaged two weeks ago. Now that there is a definitive answer to the question there will likely be some relief in the Melo camp, as questions about a possible return to Denver could be a cause of distraction for the team.
