The New York Knicks’ television network, Madison Square Garden, is looking to fill in its schedule now that the lockout has cancelled several games. The initial schedule featured the New York Knicks hosting the Miami Heat in the team’s home-opener, but now MSG will air “1994: March to the Finals.” As for ESPN, it will televise Temple versus Ohio football.
“We’re building on our archival library, which has over 100,000 tapes in it,” said Dan Ronayne, executive vice president of the network (MSG). “We ended up, I think, with some really compelling original programming for Knicks fans.”
In an effort to lessen the sadness of Knicks fans who will be missing games, MSG Network is expected to announce two new shows, Knicks’ Greatest Rivalries” and “First Person.”
