With the $850 million Madison Square Garden renovation underway, fans got a first glimpse at the new locker-rooms. After years of old locker-rooms, the New York Knicks and Rangers will be getting an upgrade.
The players told MSG president Hank Ratner that they would like circular shaped locker-rooms, as opposed to the rectangular shaped ones they had previously.
“The coaches’ and players’ input were to have a round locker room and not your traditional rectangle with people off in corners,” Ratner said. “It’s a sense of team to bring people closer together. Again, the trademark ceiling of Madison Square Garden is on top of the locker rooms.”
However, before any of the Knicks players get to see the locker-rooms, they must first sign a new CBA with the owners.
