Roger Mason Believes Dolan Wants to End Lockout Soon

New York Knicks guard Roger Mason is Vice President of the players union, and he understands that big market owners like the Knicks’ James Dolan want to end the lockout as soon as possible.

“You can look at it and say the majority of owners don’t want a deal,” Mason told the New York Post. “But there are owners eager to get a deal done. At this moment they are overshadowed by a contingent of owners who are trying to get everything they want in a new CBA.”

Mason recognizes that Dolan is one of those owners who wants to get back to work and begin a quest for the NBA championship. However, the smaller market teams are still pushing for a new system in the NBA and they are willing to lose games so there can be a better competitive balance in the league.
