Amar'e Stoudemire Believes Lockout May End Sooner Than Expected

New York Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire visited the ESPN studios in Bristol, Conn. today and appeared on First Take and SportsCenter. Stoudemire first spoke on First Take, and gave the panelists his take on the current state of labor negotiations.

AllMediaNY: “With those two weeks being cancelled, I think we’ll come to an agreement soon… hopefully,” said Stoudemire. “That’s the main goal, to try and figure it out as soon as we can. There are so many jobs at stake. Not only us as players but there are so many people who work around the NBA, their livelihood is on the line right now. We need to try and get something done.”

When asked when he thinks the NBA lockout will end, Stoudemire answered by saying “by November 14.” NBA fans are hoping Amar’e Stoudemire is right and that we can get back to seeing the athletes take the hardwood again.
