New York Knicks guard Chauncey Billups says his knee is fully healed and that he will be ready to play once the NBA lockout is lifted. Billups strained his knee during the opening round of the 2011 Playoffs and was forced to miss the remainder of the series.
Billups had been rehabbing his injured knee during the lockout summer and has been testing it out at the ‘Lockout League’ in Las Vegas. While in Vegas, Billups spoke to Chris Mannix from Sports Illustrated.
“Chauncey Billups says the knee is “completely healed.” Says he has been working hard on it for two or three weeks.”
The Knicks need a healthy Billups is they want to make a deep playoff run next season. In today’s game a capable point guard is needed and the Knicks cannot afford to lose Billups’ veteran leadership.
