A full labor meeting will be held in New York City on Tuesday and the league and Players Union will bring their full committees. The previous two negotiation sessions included only the high-level officials of both parties, thus a larger group has some people thinking of major progress.
NewsDay’s Alan Hahn reported on his Twitter page (@AlanHahn) that there will likely be a new CBA proposal presented on Tuesday’s gathering. The two sides have been declining each other’s deals all summer long, but with their recently successful meetings we may see more cooperative negotiations.
NBA fans must now hope all goes well in the coming labor meeting. Who knows, the work stoppage may be ending sooner than we had thought.
