New York Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire has decided to host Knicks team workouts from Oct. 19 to Nov. 6. The camp will be held in Bradenton, Fla. according to NewsDay.
Stoudemire sent out ten e-mails to Knicks players under contract for the 2011-12 season informing them of the workouts. He also notified Knicks rookies Iman Shumpert and Josh Harrellson, as well as a few free agents that there will be a camp in Fla.
With the NBA lockout still looming over the players, it is smart for Stoudemire to gather his troops so that they are in shape when the work-stoppage does finally end. He had initially schedule the camps for Sept., but even Stoudemire knows this lockout will last for a few more months.
