New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony told ESPN New York during his Melo League game last night versus Goodman League that he plans to conduct Knicks team workouts. With the NBA lockout jeopardizing some of the upcoming season, Anthony said he will plan to set up the workouts some time in October.
“Most likely I think as the month goes on, probably early October, well start getting guys together,” Anthony said. “I’ll make it my duty to get guys together whether it’s in LA, New York or a neutral place.”
Knicks forward Amar’e Stoudemire also plans to open Knicks camps during the lockout. It is great to see the team’s stars make an effort to be in basketball shape when the NBA season does start.
