The New York Knicks decided to part ways with legendary executive Donnie Walsh earlier this month. The team did not extend Walsh’s contract, despite being the mastermind behind the acquisitions of Amar’e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony.
Walsh will no longer be apart of the Knicks’ front office, but will be a team consultant in the 2011-12 season. Walsh joined the Knicks in 2008 with one goal in mind– bring the Knicks back to immortality. Although he made the Knicks once again relevant in the NBA, his dream has yet to come true
