According to the New York Post, the New York Knicks have shown interest in the former first overall pick Kwame Brown. The Knicks have a dearth of productive centers in their roster, and they have been shopping for a dynamic big man for a long time.
The Knicks are looking to offer one-year contracts to role players like Brown, and they may possibly offer longer deals if the players perform well enough.
Brown has been ridiculed for several seasons now for his sub-par NBA career, despite being selected number one in the 2001 Draft. He is considered one of the biggest “draft busts” of all-time and hasn’t found success in any of his NBA destinations.
However, last season with the Charlotte Bobcats, Brown averaged 7.9 points per game and 6.8 rebounds per game. Better yet, Brown proved he could be a reliable center who has the ability to thwart opponents from penetrating to the hoop.
Whatever the case may be, the Knicks should go after a center who is more defensive, than offensive oriented. So, is Kwame Brown a good fit on this Knicks team?
