Knicks Interested in Morehead State's Kenneth Faried

As the 2011 NBA Draft approaches, the New York Knicks are gathering their college scouts in an effort to find the best player at the 17th overall pick. The Knicks will try to increase depth off the bench, and the team is in dire need of a big man.

The Knicks’ front office has already expressed interest in Kenneth Faried, a senior from Morehead State, due to his toughness and tenacity on the boards. Amar’e Stoudemire was abused by the Celtics front-line in the First Round of the 2011 Playoffs, and Faried will definitely assist Stoudemire in dominating the paint.

In his four-year career at Morehead State, Faried averaged 14.8 points per game and 12.3 rebounds per game. Faried gained popularity after his stellar performance in the Men’s D1 Basketball tournament, and the Knicks will likely draft the forward if he is still available.
