Derek Harper spent 2½ seasons with the Knicks and helped the team make its first Finals appearance in 21 years. Harper was the Knicks staring point guard, and he had to make sure players like Patrick Ewing and John Starks got the ball when they wanted it and where they wanted it.
Harper was not only an adept facilitator, but he had the ability to score the ball when the team needed it most. He currently ranks 10th for 3 point field goals made and 3 point field goal percentage in Knicks’ history; as a Knickerbocker, Harper averaged 11.7 ppg, 4.7 apg and 2.2 rpg.
