New York Knicks guard Bill Walker is motivated to show the Celtics that he is indeed a capable NBA player. Walker started his career with the Boston Celtics, but he was quickly traded to the Knicks in a deal that involved Nate Robinson. While at Boston, Walker saw very little playing time and he had to back up future hall-of-fame players Ray Allen and Paul Pierce.
Walker did not have the opportunity to showcase his talents in Boston, but he was given the chance under Mike D’Antoni in New York. In his time with the Knicks, Walker is averaging 4.9 ppg and is playing close to 20 minutes per game. Although Walker will not admit it, he is looking forward to a productive playoff series to show the Celtics to see what they had traded away.
