Knicks/Celtics Are Most Expensive First Round Ticket

This news comes courtesy of the good people over at While it shouldn’t come as any real ridiculous surprise, it looks like the first round series between Boston and New York will, relatively, be the highest priced ticket among the Eastern Conference playoff matchups. Take the jump to see some visuals on how Knicks ticket prices have changed throughout the regular season, and just how greater a demand there is when you throw all these superstars on two big market teams and let ‘em go at it in a seven game series.

  • Knicks at Celtics is highest demanded game in Eastern Conference First Round – $287 average ticket price
  • The “get in” price at the TD Garden is $75
  • While the best deal on fourth row, center court seats will cost you $379
  • Closing out the regular season, the Celtics ranked #4 in ticket demand at home – their average price was $111 over the season
  • The Lakers took the #1 spot with $175 season average, Knicks #2 with $144 Heat at #3 with $117 average

Once again, this shouldn’t surprise anyone. This series is the most likely to result in an upset and features six 2011 all-stars and three NBA Finals MVP winners.
